The Ritz-Carlton Maldives opened in 2021 and was the second resort to sit on the four-island man-made archipelago. The island is dotted with 100 beachfront and overwater villas, each positioned to maximise the famous Maldivian sunsets and sunrises. The resort was the last project of the late, highly-acclaimed Australian architect Kerry Hill.
